Summary:
This position will be part of the Engineering team at our Taneytown, MD location.
The primary function of the Engineer is to design and support the Taneytown product line (typically pumps such as:
vertical turbines, horizontal end suction, horizontal between bearing, solids handling and submersible pumps and motors).
Our Taneytown, MD Pump Manufacturing facility is over 150,000 square feet and provides capability for engineering, design, customer service, machining, assembly, and testing for a diverse product portfolio, which serves all markets (power ,oil & gas, water resources, general industry, and chemical).
The facility has expanded four times since opening in 1971 to accommodate revenue growth and product line developments.
The entire project lifecycle is experienced all under the same roof.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
Partner closely with team members as well as work autonomously at times to support the identified products Design, support manufacturing, assembly and testing of varieties of centrifugal pumps applied in water, power, oil and mining industries Review customer specifications, create design drawings and technical documentation from order acquisition to shipping Interact and support teams including Order Acquisition, Project Management, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing and after sales support teams Required:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience Ability to successfully work in a team oriented and CIP environment Demonstrated problem solving capability Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven organizational skills including attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, even where conflicting priorities may exist Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office English language proficiency Preferred Experience / Skills:
Prior experience/knowledge in Product Design, Product Development, Bills of Materials, Application Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing or related experience Understanding of industry standards such as HI/ API/Nuclear/ASTM/ASME Working knowledge of Solid Works /AutoCAD/Inventor/CREO/PLM Prior experience with structural, rotor dynamic analysis /Finite Element Analysis Additional language proficiency Primary Posting Location:
