Electrical Engineer

Job Description TAI's Electrical Engineering Division is actively seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a background in buildings & facilities related projects.
TAI's Electrical Engineering Group has proven capabilities in all phases of electrical analysis, development, and design.
We support our client's electrical and controls needs with a wide range of design services on various electrical and control systems through the following engineering services:
conceptual designs and scope development, cost estimation, economic evaluations, power studies, LEED documentation, construction documents, construction administration, startup, commissioning, programming, and procurement.
The Electrical Engineer must have experience putting together complete electrical construction documents (single lines, grounding plans, lightning protection, lighting plans, power plans, fire alarm, etc.
).
Any experience in distribution system design is considered a plus.
Responsibilities:
Planning, organizing, and performing detailed electrical engineering and design with the capability to manage engineering activities.
Control system design of multiple complex projects.
Research applicable industry standards, prepare and critique engineering studies, analysis of systems, preliminary and detailed engineering designs.
Develop and review engineering specifications and project cost estimates.
Direct and review work of project design team, check progress of work and alert managers/clients to change of scope and additional services.
Coordinate all aspects of project document completion.
Direct CAD designers for the preparation of construction drawings.
Possess ability to interpret applicable codes.
Independently work with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to codes is required.
Coordinate project design with other engineering disciplines.
Education Requirements/
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering.
Professional Engineer license is strongly preferred.
Minimum 6 years of engineering and design experience.
Expertise in specifying, designing systems in at least one of the core industries served by TAI:
commercial, hospitals, laboratories, and government facilities.
Extensive experience designing, reviewing and approving Electrical Construction Drawing sets including but not limited to single lines, grounding plans, lightning protection, lighting plans, power plans, fire alarm, communication and security infrastructure plans.
Interact with customers to gather critical information.
Working Knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70).
Preferably knowledge of LEED, ASHRAE, IECC, and IGCC energy codes.
Preferably knowledge of SKM, Easypower, or ETAP.
US Citizenship Candidates should have experience with the following software:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
