Path Technologies is looking for an Investment Data Sr Associate to work with our client, a large financial services firm in Owings Mills, MD. This position is primarily responsible for setting up and maintaining securities, across multiple instrument types, in the Trading platform for investment management, trading, and compliance purposes. The position responds to customer requests, meets daily operational deadlines, tracks setup metrics, and monitors various security attributes that are utilized by downstream systems and groups.
Job Responsibilities/Requirements:
Acts as a liaison to Equity and Fixed Income Trading Desks and ensures the accurate and timely setup of securities in trading systems. Sets up securities resulting from portfolio management trading and compliance requests. Timeliness of system inputs is critical due to the possibility of market fluctuations.
Monitors maintenance requests from various groups; ensures requests are valid before allowing updates to be processed; determines which groups will be impacted by proposed changes and communicates accordingly to ensure accurate processing.
Reviews daily audit reports to ensure accuracy and capture changes in security data; researches exceptions; processes all valid updates/changes; coordinates updates with other groups to ensure appropriate downstream impact of change(s).
Performs general security research for internal customers which requires detailed knowledge of data feeds and other systems.
Performs ongoing security master file project work and related data clean-up efforts. Also participates in data feed and system testing efforts.
Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment with strict deadlines
