Path Technologies is looking for a Unix System Admin to work with our client, a large financial services firm in Owings Mills, MD. For this position, we are looking for an experienced System Admin who will maintain and support the Production and Non-Production (Dev/QA) UNIX-based middleware environment, which is inclusive for the software and, in some cases, the hardware systems. In addition, this position represents the Midrange Technical Services team on enterprise IT intitatives as assigned, assesses technical requrirements and provides recommendations to the Project Manager. The UNIX support team provides 24x7 365/days support.
Job Requirements:
Linux experience required / RedHat Linux is preferred
Experience with Solaris and AIX
Experience with EMC storage or IBM's v7000 a plus
Understanding UNIX/Linux volume management required
Bash, Bourne and Korn shell scripting experience required
Perl or other scripting languages experience preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
