PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Sr Project Specialist manages marketing projects and coordinates events ranging in size for various internal clients and corporate initiatives. The Sr Project Specialist assists in the development of strategic and tactical marketing solutions for a specific business need. Working in a consultative relationship with internal marketing managers, the Sr Project Specialist assesses the situation, determines an appropriate course of action and aligns resources within the internal department and other shared services to meet or exceed client expectations.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management: Leads initiatives by scoping the project, consulting with internal clients, aligning resources, determining a schedule, and collaborating with the creative and production teams.
Relationship Management: Serves as a partner/sounding board with business unit marketing managers, acting as the key contact in Account Management for larger project teams, and developing new partnerships within the organization.
Timeline Management: Develops master plan for execution of initiative deliverables and proactively informs project teams of key milestones and other relevant information.
Process Management: Develops an efficient and effective process that provides successful outcomes and managing that process to deliver on time, on scope and on budget. Proactively adapts process as needed and works collaboratively with internal partners to constructively resolve conflicts or implement improvements.
Coaching / Mentoring / Training: Serves as a discussion partner and coach/mentor to the Project Specialists; assist with questions to leverage the time of the Lead Project Manager; transfers knowledge and shares best practices to increase the overall capabilities of the team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred
4-5 years related work experience in a marketing function
Global and institutional experience preferred
Experience working within an asset management organization or advertising agency
Required
College degree and 1 year of related work experience, or
Associate degree and 3 years related work experience, or
High School diploma/equivalent and 5 years related work experience
Must be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision
Must perform well under time-sensitive deadlines
Must posses strong organizational skills
Must be able to demonstrate persuasive techniques and negotiation skills
Must be able to lead initiatives
Must have a solid understanding of the creative development and production process
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office application
Demonstrated ability to provide coaching / mentoring / training to others

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
