ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

Qualifications:
7 or more years experience in Pega Systems PRPC (6.1 or above) BPM Solution development. Pega Certified System Architect for PRPC version 5 or later a big plus.
Experience in using & building PRPC frameworks for reuse, using Pega Connectors & Services for integration, PRPC tools PAL, Tracer, Security Model, Access Groups, UI Portals, Log Analyzer.
Must have significant experience in J2EE applications development using EJBs,Webservices, JSPs, JDBC, JMS, etc.
Must have significant experience using thin client development using XML, XSLT, Stylesheets, HTML, AJAX, Webservices, etc.
Should have hands-on experience with XML processing for SOAP and Websphere Webservices etc.
Must have hands-on experience with deploying on Websphere Application Server; should be familiar with Websphere administration console and other Websphere components.
Must have working knowledge of SQL, preferably on Oracle.
Should be familiar with the architecture of Websphere MQ - Queue Manager, Queues, Channels, messages, message persistence, queue listeners etc.
Should have experience in message processing design patterns such as synchronous/asynchronous request-response, fire and forget etc on Websphere MQ/JMS.
Should be conceptually familiar with document management, imaging, capture etc.
Health Insurance Industry specific certification preferred.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
This role will function as a combination of a Technical Systems Analyst and an Lead Application Architect Consultant focused on a application specific web based tool/system within this organization.
Utilize Agile project methodology.
Defines complex technology-based business solutions within scope of project. Mentors and leads project teams in the appropriate use of technology.
Identifies and evaluates technical architecture models utilizing knowledge of industry and technical trends. Reviews and approves design decisions prior to implementation to ensure adherence to prescribed guidelines.
Leads system design activities or reviews system designs to assure that applications solutions will exhibit expected levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate re-usability and reliability upon deployment.
Leads system performance diagnosis and scalability assessment activities.

Serves as a point of contact for question/issues related to the architectural solutions within a project or business area.
Communicates with business owners and technical delivery staff.
Assists in the selection of technologies that provide the best solutions for business needs. Assists in the design of applications.
Publishes SAP documents and educates the business area about their architecture.
Maintains knowledge of emerging technological trends and utilizes the knowledge to educate both IT and business areas on opportunities to build better IT solutions that support and drive business decisions.
REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related IT field, or equivalent work experience.
Master's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
Has 3-5 years of experience in the following: demonstrated competency in project management execution of multiple enterprise level, smaller, projects; experience in participating in multidisciplinary, high-performance work teams/groups and demonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse, less complex business problems.
Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale systems.
Demonstrated experience in developing technical architectures.
Demonstrated experience of information systems, spanning at least two to four component architectures.
Experience in translating business strategies, across several business units, into effective solutions.
Extensive knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle.
Understanding of design patterns and their application at all levels (conceptual, logical and physical).
Experience in 2 or more of the following: UML, SOA (including EA1 and B2B), Security, Data/Infomatics, business Rule Engines/workflow.
