Job Purpose
Duties
Architect, design, code, and implement highly scalable components and reliable applications in a high traffic transactional data and data warehouse environment using the latest technologies following software engineering best practices
Demonstrates thorough abilities to interact with end users to understand and document business and functional requirements for complex projects, including full software development life cycle, DW/BI/ETL tools and other related technologies, including:
Enterprise data management, data warehousing and/or business intelligence; data modeling, integration and/or synchronization, quality, security, conversion and analysis; database administration; and/or enterprise data management policies, procedures, compliance & risk management. This includes a minimum of having participated in two full life cycle implementations
Architecture, design and development of enterprise business intelligence and data warehousing solutions, including utilizing leading ETL/BI tools and the ability to architect a solution
Design and development of data cleansing routines utilizing typical data quality functions involving standardization, transformation, rationalization, linking and matching that leverages knowledge within data, master data, metadata and technology management.
Creating and modifying Intelligence Dashboards and Guided Navigation Links within Intelligence Dashboards
Using OBI EE Delivers to configure, schedule, and deliver Personalized Alerts to Intelligence Dashboards via Intelligence Agents
Performing administration tasks related to the development and configuration of Intelligence Dashboards
Customizing the OBI EE web user interface
Integrating OBI EE applications with Custom Applications
Creating, modifying and filtering requests, and format results in OBI EE Answers
Administration of OBI EE and the OBI EE Web Catalog
Configuration of the OBI EE Relationship Management Warehouse for Global Deployments
Configuration of ETL maps to selectively refresh the OBI EE Relationship Management
Analyze, modify and unit test software in support of customer issues.
Provide third level customer support.
Analyze and develop designs for enterprise systems (applications, databases, data warehouses) to meet business requirements
Collaborate with Business and Systems Analysts to analyze business requirements and develop technical design specifications
Support Architect and contribute to strategic implementations of enterprise products and solutions
Lead or perform proof-of-concept initiatives in new technologies
Represent Edaptive at technical meetings pertaining to schedule, requirements, project plans, technical decisions, data discrepancies and other technical matters, as directed by team leadership.
Recommend, design, implement and maintain the XML Schema Documents (XSD documents) that define the information interchange between project and external systems.
Design, implement and maintain XML parsing modules and their interaction with application logic.
Develops and communicates plans/objectives to others
Good problem solving skills required
Extensive experience troubleshooting Systems Integration issues
Contribute to team coding standards and monitor the codebase for compliance.
Contribute to and expand in-house documentation, such as instructions to deploy test application servers, configuration of datastore connections, build and deployment notifications and other technical documentation.

Required Qualifications
10 years relevant IT experience or combination of experience and education
8
years' experience with Oracle Business Intelligence (BI)
and OBIEE tools/architecture in large environments
Establish and enforce BI architecture and data integration standards
Experience with SQL and PL/SQL
Relational Database experience for Oracle 11g
BI certification(s)
Education and/or formal training may substitute for experience requirement
Skills
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to work well independently or in a team environment
Establishes and maintains effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Must be able to adapt to organizational change
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Flexibility and ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail oriented
Demonstrable facility with Java EE, XHTML, JSF and facelets, JPA (particularly Hibernate), SQL (Oracle is good), Java generics and concurrent programming. Spring or other dependency-injection frameworks desirable
Substantial skill with XML and XSD (XML Schema Document) schemas
Experience with formal software processes and lifecycle requirements
Ability to assist in the collection and consideration of required information and data
Excellent logical reasoning skills
