We are seeking a Construction Inspector to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have over seen the construction, maintenance and repair of bridges, including:
Erection of steel Painting of steel Placement of concrete and rebar, and miscellaneous roadway elements.
It would be beneficial but not necessary if they are familiar with the bridge elements, such as abutment seat, parapet, bearing types, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect construction sites and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations - Review project plans and blueprints to ensure accuracy and completeness - Monitor construction progress to ensure that deadlines are met - Collect data on construction sites and prepare reports for management - Communicate with contractors, architects, and engineers to resolve issues Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in construction inspection or related field - Knowledge of bridge construction, repair and maintenance - Ability to read blueprints and schematics - Strong communication skills - Attention to detail
