The Medical Secretary (Medical Administrative Assistant) will have
Experience:
Minimum of a high school diplom Must have the ability to establish confidence and trust with patients Must have the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure or stress Electronic Medical Records experience Surgical posting experience Experience working in a surgical office Have the ability to provide excellent customer service, communication, telephone and grammar skills Must have an empathetic and compassionate manner Prefer one or more years' experience working in a medical position where patient contact was required.
Knowledge of verifying insurance coverage Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office required bility to perform as part of a team as well as work independently DUTIES:
Completing surgical posting for multiple surgeons Provide gracious, thorough and efficient care to meet the patients' needs via face-to-face communication, phone, email or fax Maintain the physician's schedule Follow all procedures for complete and accurate check in and check out of patients Schedule return appointments and set up reminder notifications Collects patient data involving medical, demographic and insurance verification and authorization information Identify, research and resolve all customer requests Recommended Skills Administration Customer Service Microsoft Office Receptive Self Motivation Stress Management Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
