Systems Admin - VirtualizationOwings Mills, MD (partial onsite)Long-term contractOne of our Fortune 100 clients in the Energy & Utilities industry is looking to bring on a Jr.
Systems Admin to support a Virtualization project based out of their Owings Mills, MD facility.
The organization is implementing a new entirely virtual backup system to be kept offline in case of cybersecurity emergencies.
As a Junior Systems Admin, you will be a part of the technical services team responsible for virtualization relevant to this system implementation.
Responsibilities:
Communicating with and updating internal stakeholders and external vendorsHelping onboard new hardware assets into the facility, helping ensure all new hardware is properly racked and stacked, connected, etc.
Utilizing VMware, Hyper-V, and other virtualization tools in efforts of the system implementationCommuting onsite as needed 25% onsite; will fluctuate based on project timelines, hardware deliveries, etc.
QualificationsBachelors Degree in Computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related fieldExperience with Virtualization; VMware experience preferredFamiliarity with Linux and Windows environmentsSAN Virtualization experience preferred, but not requiredby Jobble.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
